Pagan Community

So I had planned on going to a “pagan pride” event this year, to see what it’s like seeing real pagans face-to-face, and not just online. The idea came from a conversation in a Facebook group I’m part of, with what expectations for events people have, and whether people even actually go to these events.

But….the local event changed its dates from late September or October to be August of this year. So I’ve obviously missed it.

So I’m going to have to postpone that and maybe attend next year.

  1. I was able to attend one in Calif. many years ago. I LOVED it! There were authors, vendors and people who were collecting canned food for the food pantry. One little old lady asked what was going on and I told her. She was in awe and wanted to learn more so I directed her to the information booth. She later caught up with me and thanked me. She said it was an enlightening experience!

  2. That’s too bad. I recommend checking out if there are any other public events coming up in your area. Perhaps something for Samhain? (even if not Slavic!)

    1. I’ve checked google. Nothing jumps out in the area as “pagan” for this time of year. But I’m keeping an eye open for any events. (and if I ever found something Slavic where I live, I would be shocked!)
