I'm a bibliophile who loves collecting books. Definite cat person. Amateur historian and major geek, who loves all things Tolkien and Star Trek. I'm also fluent in German.

  1. Actually way-back when, I was quite a bit more studious than these students are being portrayed. Of course, we did not have personal computers (or anything of that sort), so everything had to come from the sweat of our brows if we were really concerned. Much earlier Artemis had handed me over to Athena, so many a time I did feel as though She were breathing down my neck, whispering, “I know you can do this.” Anyway, I did graduate in 1972 with High Honors in History and membership in Phi Alpha Theta.


    1. You can bullshit your way through college without a computer. And I would say that students nowadays are no less studious or hard-working. We have more access to information, at a much quicker pace, but that does not mean we are not able to work just as hard.
